Amber Perez is an MSW Clinical Intern attending the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW). She is passionate about social justice, client-centered care, and serving underserved groups such as women, children, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She cares deeply about her education and worked diligently to graduate with her BSW from the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) with a 4.0 GPA.
Amber also has extensive research experience, having worked on projects relating to gender-based violence and global policies, eating disorders in minority groups, childhood parental loss, eradicating middle-class bias, transitional housing for unsheltered populations, and community navigation in aging adults. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
