Whether she's with clients, colleagues, or loved ones, Sophia's warmth and bright personality shine through in everything she does. Her deep devotion to family, friends, and her beloved animals is balanced by the competitive spirit she honed as an athlete, and still puts to good use as a two-time fantasy football champion. Active in her church community, Sophia is also an emerging leader in private practice, currently on an executive development track with Empathy First.
In the therapy room, Sophia brings that same genuine warmth to a trauma-informed, client-centered approach. She believes healing happens in the context of a trusting relationship, and she works collaboratively with each client to build on their existing strengths, meeting people where they are and moving at a pace that feels safe.
Sophia tailors treatment to each client's unique goals, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.
